CONFERENCE ASTON WELCOMES INDUSTRY LEADERS AT FIRST CCE ANNUAL CONFERENCE
An award winning Birmingham venue has played host to the first annual conference
held by leading UK conference member organisation, Conference Centres of Excellence (CCE).
The event which was hosted at Conference Aston in July, bought together all
42 members of the consortium for networking opportunities, workshops,
exhibitions and to hear key note speakers from the industry.
Executive Director at CCE, Antony Lishman was extremely impressed with
the success of the first annual conference at the venue.
“You might say
we know a thing or two about organising conferences, as we do it regularly for
our own clients, so the spotlight was very much on the service we received at
every stage from the team at Conference Aston,” Antony said.
“They did not
fail to impress both us as organisers and those attending the event, whether it
was handling the large volume of bookings to the logistics on the day.
“The event was
topped off with a gala dinner and the food and service was amongst the best I
have sampled in all the time I have been attending this kind of event.
“I’d like to
express our thanks to all the team at Conference Aston for making it a great
and successful conference.”
As a member of CCE, the Conference Aston team were delighted to be
chosen to host such a flagship event in the conferencing industry calendar and
the opportunity to demonstrate the quality services they have to offer.
Head of sales and marketing, Christine Page believes it is down to
Conference Aston’s fantastic amenities teamed with its easily accessible
central location that made them the number one choice.
“Conference Centres of Excellence require extremely high standards from
its members and we are proud to offer the highly regarded services that set CCE
venues apart from others,” Christine said.
“To be chosen to host the first annual CCE conference is a real
testament to the high level of service and dedication of our events team here
at Conference Aston and the continuous effort we put into being one of the best
conferencing venues in the UK.
“The event has had some brilliant feedback and was a great opportunity
for CCE members from across the country to share best practice in a
face-to-face situation, as well as engage with some influential key note
speakers.
“The conference also invited none members in order to showcase the benefits of joining
an established industry organisation and allowed potential members to interact
with its existing CCE venues and make use of their expert advice.”
Conference Aston welcomes more than 54,000 people a year to Birmingham
for training, residential conferences, for weddings and to stay in its high
quality hotel facilities and on site campus accommodation.
It sits at the heart of Aston University, which is a
